World War Z by Max Brooks

This book is the follow-up to Brook’s other famous work, The Zombie Survival Guide. It details the heroism and tragedy of the Zombie War, a global conflict that pitted humanity against an epidemic of the walking dead. Though it’s strictly speculative, you’ll; be amazed at the detail and humanity of these “survivor” interviews.

Anyone who has seen the show absolutely must read the excellent graphic novel series that inspired it. Ongoing and renowned as a new classic of zombie literature, the Walking Dead books follow police officer Rick and a small band of survivors as they try to make a new life after the zombie apocalypse. But with warlords, criminals, and desperate people all scrabbling for survival, zombies won’t be their biggest problem by far!

Pride and Prejudice and Zombies by Seth Grahame-Smith

Cell by Stephen King
